Over the years, I’ve purchased countless plugins, web themes, and software. Some lived up to their potential, while others fell short. Let me know your thoughts!
In general, I prefer to buy lifetime deals (LTDs), but I’ve come to realize that this route isn’t always the most cost-effective, especially in the WordPress ecosystem. Every time a new page builder or plugin stack comes out, it feels like you have to buy it, even if you already own a similar LTD. For example, I moved from Oxygen Builder to Bricks, and I might shift to Eth in the future.
However, when it comes to general software, I’m confident that the choices I’ve made are still serving me well.
Computer Software
Microsoft Windows
I’ve been purchasing Windows since the 90s. While there are alternatives like Linux and macOS, I prefer sticking with Windows for simplicity. It’s still the most widely used operating system globally, and it integrates well with my workflow.

Microsoft Office
I’m currently using Office 2019 with a lifetime license. I avoided the Office 365 subscription since there are plenty of affordable serials available for one-time purchases. This package includes essential tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which I use frequently.

Antivirus Software
I don’t use an antivirus program. Instead, I rely on regular backups to avoid any slowdowns caused by antivirus scans.
Graphic Design & Video Editing
Affinity Suite (Designer, Publisher, Photo)
The Affinity Suite, which includes Designer, Publisher, and Photo, has been a fantastic alternative to Adobe’s tools. I’ve been using Version 1 for a while now, although I wasn’t upgraded to Version 2 as part of my LTD. These tools are still key to my graphic design projects.

Capture One
Capture One is my go-to software for photo editing, and in my opinion, it surpasses Lightroom in many ways. Although it’s marketed as a one-time purchase, upgrades aren’t included, so it’s not a true LTD.

DaVinci Resolve
One of the best investments I’ve made! DaVinci Resolve is an incredible video editing tool, and it even performs well for photo editing. The free version offers more than enough for most video needs, but I opted for the paid version, which provides ongoing upgrades.
